To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Malaysia diplomatic relations, the documentary The Story of Time: China and Malaysia adopts the view of the Malaysian Ambassador to China, Datuk Zainuddin and explores the interaction and communication between China and Malaysia throughout history, from the Ping-Pong Diplomacy to the theater show in the ancient city of Malacca, from the Journey to the West stage show played by elementary students in Malaysia to new archaeological discoveries, from the phenomenal popular Malaysian fruit in China, Musang King durian to the “Two Countries, Two Parks” project. The stories of the ordinary people and their genuine emotion portrait how China and Malaysia communicate to, learn from, and step forward hand-in-hand with each other to a brighter future.

"The China Intercontinental Communication Center (China Intercontinental Press), set up in Beijing in December 1993, is a comprehensive international cultural communication agency complete with four export-oriented communication centers, including the Film and TV Center, the Book Center, the Cultural Exchange Center and the Network Center. With “helping the world to understand China, and helping China to understand the world” as its goal, the Center/Press works to introduce to the rest of the world the basics of Chinese history, politics, economics, science and technology, education, culture, and the lives of the Chinese people, and also to display the latest progress China has made in social and economic development during the ongoing reform and opening-up. In the meantime, it works to introduce to China the fruits of foreign cultural development. The Center/Press has established cooperative relationships with 40-plus TV organizations in more than 20 countries, and with over 30 publishing houses in 19 countries and regions around the world. It has also carried out cultural activities in some 40 countries and regions. It has also succeeded in bringing Chinese movies and TV plays as well as books to more than 200 countries and regions.Guangxi Radio and Television (GXRT) is an omnimedia distribution platform including outlets of radio, television, news-focused website, APP, IPTV and mobile TV. It runs 7 radio frequencies and 10 television channels based on an advanced technical system for content producing and broadcasting. The daily average broadcast hour of GXRT reaches 354 hours in totality. GXRT plays positively to meet the demand of an omnimedia era, which is characterized by 'full coverage, dimensional coverage, high public participation and comprehensive efficiency'. By prioritizing mobility, GXRT has been developing steadily the integration of traditional media and new media, a 5G+ experimental platform comprising radio, television and new media and a mobile terminal application—Audio-Visual Guangxi. GXRT has all together 135 official microblogs and WeChat public accounts. It also operates two online TV, namely GXNT and BBRTV, a mobile terminal application, an integrated media master control center and an integrated media cloud platform. GXRT has upgraded its cooperation with the main stream media of ASEAN in recent years. BBR (radio frequency) and GXRT International (TV channel) under GXRT are platforms with multilateral exchange focus. A number of GXRT branded blocks are released in platforms of ASEAN countries, such as China Theatre, China Cartoon, DramaChina and Miracle China. GXRT initiates cooperation in the translation and dubbing of Chinese movie and TV dramas as well as the co-production of documentaries, magazines and various forms of events. GXRT builds its working studios in some ASEAN countries and the Southeast Asia Multi-media Translation & Dubbing Center just in order to facilitate the cooperative mechanism. With full momentum, GXRT is growing to be a platform for exchange, cooperation and mutual learning."
