Introduction to author:
Founded in 2003, HAVLEST International Culture & Media is a registered international media company in Hungary. In 2009, the company cooperated with Hungarian National Television and created the bilingual program "Close to China", a documentary film created by a professional team and presented to the Chinese and Hungarian audiences in both Chinese and Hungarian.
The documentary was officially launched on Hungarian National Television in March 2010, becoming the first Chinese media company to obtain TV time slots and production rights in the European mainstream media. In the same year, the company signed a program exchange and cooperation agreement with China Central Television Program Center.
The company has long participated in and organized many large events coverage and served the Chinese community. In 2010, the program team directly reported the opening ceremony of the Shanghai World Expo and the Hungarian Pavilion Day, introducing the grand scene of the opening of the Shanghai World Expo and the Hungarian Day to the Hungarian audience, and received special recognition from the Hungarian Media Center and Donau TV. Entrusted by the Hungarian Consulate General in Shanghai and the Hungarian Expo Pavilion, the company hosted the first Sino-Hungarian journalist exchange meeting at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai. In October of the same year, Hungary broke out the red mud leakage incident of the aluminum plant that shocked the world, and actively mobilized and organized local Chinese overseas Chinese to donate for the disaster area at the first time. The company tracked and reported the long-term charitable deeds of Chinese people giving back to the Hungarian society, assisted Chinese charity organizations to provide help and sponsorship to the Hungarian society for a long time, improved the image of Chinese people in Hungary, and played a proper role in the media to promote and enhance the friendship between the two countries.
In 2015, the company participated in the Sino-Hungarian Belt and Road cultural exchange media cooperation and went to China to film the documentary "China Today", introducing the achievements of economic and cultural exchanges between China and the world.
In 2019, four documentaries "Witnessing Friendship" were produced and broadcast, dedicated to the 70 years of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary. The program reviews and looks forward to the political, diplomatic, economic and cultural exchanges and development between China and Hungary. After the documentary was broadcast on Hungarian national television, it became one of the most influential events of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary.
In 2020 a serious global pandemic broke out, the Chinese and Hungarian governments actively cooperated and helped each other to tide over the difficult times. Our team risked their lives against the odds and recorded the real touching story of China and Hungary fighting the pandemic together with the camera. The film "Witnessing Friendship", featuring pandemic, became the witness of the two peoples fighting the pandemic together.
