Introduction to author:
I am the author of the article, Md Enamul Hassan. I am a Bangladeshi journalist now based in Beijing, PRC. I am now working as the China Correspondent of the Bangladesh Post, one of the leading English broadsheet daily of Bangladesh.
I have been working as a journalist with different media outlets—online and print--since 2002. Most notably, I worked for the Daily Sun, the second-largest circulated English daily of Bangladesh as its diplomatic correspondent for over 8 years. I also worked for New Age, another English Daily of Bangladesh, as its economic correspondent, Daily Manabzamin, a Bengali national daily, FocusBangla, a national Bengali news agency as staff correspondent, and some other media outlets in Bengali and English in different capacities.
Alongside with my journalistic career of around 20 years, I also write articles on different issues including international politics, global economy, and regional and international conflicts in Bengali and English. During the last several years, I have regularly been writing on different issues about China including Xinjiang, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to name a few.
My English articles debunking Western propaganda over Xinjiang and other contemporary issues related to China have already been translated into many languages like Chinese, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Bengali, Turkish, Japanese, Nepalese, German, Spanish, French, and so on. They have been published in different global media of the US, UK, Finland, Germany, Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Uganda, Nepal, Pakistan, India, Nigeria, South Africa, Bangladesh and so on.
I have edited an English novel named ‘Altaf' which is now available on global platforms like Amazon. Now I am working on my new book ‘Xinjiang in my Eyes'.
