Introduction to entry:
Published by the Bangladesh Post on November 18, 2020, the submitted article is one of my endeavors to tell the world the truth about China's war against Covid-19, which has remained underreported and is worthy of global recognition. The article explained my first-hand experiences of being carefully attended to after testing positive for Covid-19 when I entered China through Guangzhou last year. Through featuring the accounts of my painstaking journey as a Covid-19 patient, the article let everyone know the details of China's concrete measures to defeat the pandemic including diagnosis, treatment, isolation, quarantine, and monitoring systems. Debunking the Western propaganda against China, the article described the sincerity of Chinese doctors and how they treated me in a non-discriminatory way. The article recounted my experience about the QR code, a quick response nation-wide big data system to determine whether a person has a risk of being exposed to COVID-19. The article described how everyone registers their mobile number, including their health details with their provincial application. Immediately after the registration, the information is stored on a central server that coordinates all regional applications. As a result, public health authorities can trace the movements of the owners of each mobile number using GPS technologies. The article also interviewed, KM Alimul Hoque, a senior news editor and broadcast journalist at China Media Group (CMG), who elaborated the secret of China's success in containing the pandemic in his own words. The article summed up that accountability and seriousness of the government, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), technologies, modern medical equipment, people's confidence and cooperation with the government, sacrifices of health professionals, stricter lockdowns, and changing lifestyle are the main reasons for China to defeat the pandemic.
