Title:Beautiful Cambodia
Introduction:
The Cambodia chapter of the "Beautiful Cambodia-Laos" documentary series is a 4-episode 4K humanistic documentary co-produced by Yunnan Media Group and National Television of Khampuchea. It took nearly a year to shoot and produce across countries, covering the Lancang River basin in Yunnan and the whole territory of Cambodia. With the main idea of "the Lancang-Mekong River sharing the same source, civilizations learning from each other, and developing together", the film, through the integration of poetic lens language and documentary aesthetics, comprehensively shows the thousand-year-old cultural ties between China and Cambodia and the contemporary practice of the Belt and Road Initiative, and is praised as "a poem of China-Cambodia friendship composed with cinematic artistry". The whole film is divided into four episodes: "Silk Road Pearl", "Life-Giving Ecosystem", "Land of Vitality", and "Growing Together", focusing on four dimensions: dialogue between civilizations, ecological wisdom, pulse of development, and people-to-people bonds. The film creates visual wonders with 4K high-definition technology - aerial photography of the sunrise at Angkor Wat, macro photography of the mangrove ecology, underwater shooting of the flexible posture of Irrawaddy dolphins, and time-lapse photography to record the color changes of salt fields from dawn to starry night. Through the dual narrative of "grand history + small figures", the grand proposition of Lancang-Mekong cooperation is embodied in the vivid stories of fishermen, craftsmen, and medical workers, making the concept of "a community with a shared future for humanity" tangible and perceptible. The Cambodia chapter is co-created and disseminated by mainstream media from both countries in accordance with the principle of "joint construction and sharing": Chinese and Cambodian teams jointly surveyed the scene and shared shooting materials, and Cambodian musicians created the theme song, achieving "technical integration and cultural empathy". The Ministry of Information of Cambodia commented that it is "a cross-border image ambassador that lets the world see the soul of Cambodia".
