The song My Heart Lingers highlights symbolic elements from both nations: Malaysia’s national flower, the hibiscus (bunga raya), Qinzhou’s signature red lychees, and industries from the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park such as durian and bird’s nest production. Through these elements, it crafts a dual dialogue of visual and gustatory senses: hibiscus and dolphins, durians and lychees. Malaysia’s hibiscus “dances” alongside Qinzhou’s Chinese white dolphins; Malaysian durians and Chinese lychees “unite in harmony,” symbolizing a joyful bond.
